Growing Up Green
Environmentally-concerned people go to great effort and expense to “go green.” They make efforts to promote good health, save energy and protect the earth. Those who “go green” make conscious choices to avoid harmful influences, conserve resources and to preserve the good still left in the environment. Such an investment is sound since God’s Word directs us to be good stewards of all that He gives us. Although there are parallels, we are focusing on a different "green" in this issue of wec.go.
In the missions world, children “go green” not from an environmental choice, but by virtue of leaving one culture (blue) and living in another (yellow) during the formative years of their lives. Their personal and cultural experiences result in a unique mix of cultures that make them “green.”*
Join us as we hear from both Missionary Kids (MKs) and Adult MKs (AMKs) as they share the highs and lows of the amazing transformation that results from each individual’s adventures with God. They are good stewards in a different way when they give back from all that has been invested in their lives.
