Something to Think About
Have you thought about the effects Ramadan will have this year, coming as it does at the beginning of the school year?
- Children and teachers are affected by disruptions in sleeping and eating habits, with all-night partying in some households.
- Teachers must squeeze the same curriculum into a school day shortened by two hours.
- Concentration is difficult when the weather is still hot, and no one over 12 can eat or drink until sunset.
- Some university courses are postponed until after Ramadan.
- There is an air of excitement but also anxiety.
Pray for the MKs in Muslim countries to endure this month and for opportunities to share with their classmates and friends as to why they do not choose to fast.
