WEC Trek Alumni

May 30 , 2008

In 24 hours I will be on a plane to the west coast for a family vacation. Nathan and I are excited to spend time visiting my grandparents, immediate family, and some college friends of both ours that are in California. We will come home and hit the ground running with an orientation beginning on June 11th .

Ron and Tonda had a successful Mother’s Day down at the flower shop and now they are back home and gearing up for orientation. Bethany has moved home from the 3rd floor and is planning a prom for the high school kids on the hill, including Hannah and Lydia. So, the Byrum home is full of fancy dresses and flowers since, of course, Ron is the resident florist on the hill.

Holly is managing to juggle her new role as ministry group leader and trek director, although she is quite busy. She successfully finalized the “Mentor Guide,” which is the newest component of WEC Trek’s program. She will be attending the Canadian sending bases’ annual conference from June 4th-10th and then arriving back just in time for orientation!

Thanks,

Laura Heckman
