A short-term opportunity to give support to an existing eye care project. Provide external teaching and training for local trainee ophthalmologists. Help maintain high standard of ophthalmic care in clinical and surgical practices and procedures, in the outpatients’ clinic, on wards and in the operating theater. Help to improve doctors’ training/accreditation program through supervision, assessment and direction to medical staff.
Qualifications: Professional ophthalmologist; graduate of accredited ophthalmology program and board accreditation (or equivalent). Ability to teach theory and demonstrate clinical/surgical principals/procedures to international professional standards. Knowledge and experience of eye care in a developing country.
